BRISTOL’S EXPERTS IN WET ROT AND DRY ROT TREATMENTS

With over four decades of experience, we know the issues rot can cause, as well as the prevention methods and workmanship required to remedy the problem. ADC - Property Preservation has seen the problem in all of its forms and is available to assess the situation at your property in Bristol or South West England. This is a job for an expert, which we can take on no matter the size.

The key differences between wet and dry rot

Though dry rot suggests no moisture at all, this is not the case. The process actually requires a low level of dampness in the timber to flourish. Usually found in enclosed spaces that are not so obvious, such as behind timber cladding or wooden floors, it can travel quickly. Wet rot is more common and only supports itself in very damp wood. Found under painted surfaces or plastered walls, for example, it has a soft, spongy feel with dark spotting.
